The residence was designed in response to the client’s artistic vision and need for openness, privacy, and seamless indoor-outdoor connection, all within a site constrained by neighboring high-rise apartments and a public recreational area. Spatial zoning was carefully layered into public, semi-public, and private realms, with internal courtyards and double-height volumes promoting passive ventilation and visual buffers. A water courtyard, skylit stairwell, and fin-walled balconies enhance sensory and climatic comfort while protecting privacy.

The site posed challenges in terms of privacy and access, located next to multi-storeyed buildings and a turf on the southern boundary, with entry via a narrow road to the north. The design responds with a layered spatial strategy that clearly defines public, semi-public, and private zones.
